About Inner Circle Paris
Some cities reward the casual visitor. Paris rewards those who keep coming back.
Inner Circle Paris grew out of something simple, a love for a city that refuses to be fully known. No matter how many times you walk her streets, cross her bridges, or linger at her café terraces watching the world go by, Paris always has something left to surprise you with. We know this firsthand, and it is the reason Inner Circle Paris exists.
Eddy, our founder, was born and raised in rural Haute-Savoie, alpine meadows, mountain villages, and a deeply rooted French way of life that couldn't be further from the boulevards of the capital. At eighteen he crossed the Atlantic, built a full and happy life in rural America, and married Sydney. It is a quiet, unhurried life they both genuinely love. And yet, from the day he took her to Paris for the first time, everything for her changed.
For two people who have chosen slow roads over city streets, their pull toward Paris is something that still makes them smile when they try to explain it. Because Paris is everything their daily life is not, dense, layered, gloriously urban, and alive in a way that is impossible to describe until you have felt it yourself. The energy of her streets, the intimacy of her quartiers, the way an entire neighborhood can feel like a village tucked inside one of the world's great metropolises, it captivates them every single time.
After countless visits, they are both still discovering Paris. She asks the questions he forgot to ask. She stops at the doorway he walked past. She falls for a neighborhood he had never thought to linger in. Paris is not a city you simply visit, she is a city you paint on a canvas, quartier by quartier, season by season, loving her more with every return.
And then there is the food. The farmer's markets, the marchés, the fromageries, the bakeries, the vegetable stalls piled high with produce so fresh it seems almost surreal. For two people living in rural America where the supermarket is often the only option and food is frequently just fuel, the Parisian relationship with what you eat, where it comes from, and how you share it around a table is nothing short of a revelation, and a joy they never tire of experiencing.
That ever-growing love for Paris — her quartiers, her markets, her history, her inexhaustible ability to surprise — is the foundation upon which Inner Circle Paris is built. We are not a big tour company. What we offer is smaller and more personal: two people who fell profoundly, irreversibly in love with one of the world's great cities, and wanted to share that love in the most authentic way we could imagine. Every guide-conférencier we partner with is not only professionally licensed, but carries a deep, insider knowledge and a private bond with Paris' soul. Each tour we offer reflects something our team has personally lived and personally felt — because the best travel experiences are rarely about the places themselves. They are about the stories, the connections, and the moments of genuine discovery that quietly change the way you see the world.
Paris is waiting for you. And she has so much more to show you than you think.
Let us show you what is waiting for you.
